214 terrorists hanged so far under National Action Plan
Govt expedites NAP, over 75,000 suspects arrested on basis of intelligence by security forces
ISLAMABAD: (Dunya News) – 214 terrorists have been hanged so far under the National Action Plan (NAP). Implementation of NAP has been expedited by the government under which over 75,000 suspects have been arrested so far by security force on the basis of intelligence, reported Dunya News.
According to the report obtained by Dunya News on NAP, over 65,000 search operations have been conducted in all four provinces of the country so far, out of which 5962 were conducted upon the tips provided by the intelligence agencies. Over 73,000 arrested suspects are under police custody while the rest are under the custody of other security forces. Details of 929,405 people have so far been checked under the NAP so far.
32 apex committee meetings have been held so far in all four provinces and 73 cases were sent to 9 military courts. In civil courts, out of 62 cases of sectarian terrorism, 5 are being heard in Khyber Pakhtunkhawa (KP), 53 in Balochistan and 4 in Islamabad.
Reconciliation process and development program are also going alongside the action against terrorism in Balochistan.
