No foreign aid needed for rehabilitation of affectees: Pervez Rashid

Crisis management cell has also been formed in PM House

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Federal Minister for Information and Broadcast Pervez Rashid has quoted initial figures with casualties at 114 and injuries at 829 for the earthquake, reported Dunya News.

Presenting a briefing regarding the earthquake, Pervez Rashid said that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has called for an emergency meeting on Tuesday. He said that federal government is in continuous communication with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government and will provide it with all types of aid adding that helicopter surveillance of the affected areas has started while relief is being provided as well.

Pervez Rashid said that a crisis management cell has also been formed in PM House which will gather facts from the affected areas. He said that no foreign aid is needed for rehabilitation of affectees.
