Pakistan earthquake: Modi phones Nawaz, offers assistance
PM Nawaz thanked his Indian counterpart for the gesture
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday called Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and offered assistance in the wake of deadly earthquake in Pakistan, Dunya News reported.
According to Prime Minister House spokesperson, Modi telephoned PM Nawaz and expressed condolences on the loss of lives and property in the earthquake.
Modi has offered assistance for those affected in the earthquake. PM Nawaz thanked his Indian counterpart for the gesture.

At least 162 people have been killed and hundreds sustained injuries when an earthquake measuring 8.1 at Richter Scale hit Pakistan on Monday. 150 deaths have also occured in Afghanistan, Dunya News reported.
Reportedly, several buildings collapsed in various areas of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa provinces as 135 casualties occured in the latter.
