Fazlur Rehman meets PM Nawaz, briefs over Nine Zero visit

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) chief Fazlur Rehman on Wednesday held a meeting with Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and briefed him about his recent visit to Nine Zero, Dunya News reported.

As per details, Maulana Fazlur Rehman informed the premier that Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) leaders are ready to withdraw resignations. He said that the party leadership has reservations over detained MQM workers.

PM Nawaz lauded Fazlur Rehman’s role for maintaining political harmony, stability and reconciliation and assured to resolve MQM matter as early as possible.

PM Nawaz pledged to continue action against criminal elements in Karachi.

While talking to the media after meeting, Fazlur Rehman stated that MQM is not against Karachi operation but only demands caretaker committee over it. He said that Altaf Hussain has positive stance over withdrawal of resignations and that all the 19 demands of MQM have been presented to the premier.
