Lady constables torture women police candidates in Faisalabad
There are at least 40 seats for women candidates out of a total of 480 in the police
FAISALABAD (Dunya News) – Police lady constables on Monday have tortured women candidates who demonstrated protest against provision of less than the said time in the physical test.
The constables threw punches and slaps at the candidates. The applicants appeared at the said location in Faisalabad Development Authority (FDA) City on Sargodha Road. They were given the task of covering one and a half Kilometer (Km) distance in 10 minutes.
The candidates complained and protested against provision of less than the said time however, the lady constables tortured them after they resisted to disperse.
Media personnel were not allowed in the test centre. There are at least 40 seats for women candidates out of a total of 480 in the police. The protesters said that police are habitual of favouritism and they pick their favourites for the seats.
