ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Opposition parties seemed united in an unusual turn of events as they staged walkout in National Assembly over not discussing Kasur issue on Monday, reported Dunya News.

Leader Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Shah Mehmood Qureshi demanded that the Kasur issue be discussed on the parliament floor. On refusal, PTI members first protested on their seats and later staged walkout from the assembly.

Pakistan People’s Party (PPP), Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) and Jamat-e-Islami (JI) followed suit by walking out as well.

Talking to media outside National Assembly, Shah Mehmood Qureshi said that the sad incident is being moulded into a controversy.

Leader Awami Muslim League Sheikh Rasheed said that those who have been victimized are poor hence their plight is not being discussed. PPP members returned to parliament soon afterwards yet PTI and MQM members continued their walk out.
