PM summons emergency meeting over Altaf Hussain's speech
Meeting will be attended by Pervaiz Rasheed, Chaudhary Nisar and Khwaja Asif
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif summoned an emergency meeting over Altaf Hussain’s speech on Wednesday. It will also be reviewed whether a constitutional reference can be filed against Altaf Hussain, reported Dunya News.
According to sources, PM Nawaz Sharif will chair a meeting in the capital which will be attended by Law Minister Pervaiz Rasheed, Interior Minister Chaudhary Nisar and Defence Minister Khawaja Asif.
Experts on law and constitution will also attend the meeting which will review at taking action under article 6 of the constitution over the inflammatory speeches issued by MQM chief.
It is also being discussed whether written evidence and video recordings against Altaf Hussain should be sent to English authorities as well.
