LHC reserves verdict in Ayyan Ali's second bail plea
The court ordered Khosa to explain grounds on which the second bail plea was filed
LAHORE (Dunya News) – The Lahore High Court (LHC) on Wednesday has reserved verdict in Ayyan Ali’s second bail plea regarding whether the plea is admissible or not.
Justice Abdul Sami held hearing of the case.
Ali’s counsel Khurram Lateef Khosa said that his client is innocent and a case has been forged against her. The court ordered Khosa to first explain grounds on which the second bail plea was filed.
Khosa said that the plea was filed against Customs Appellate Bench’s verdict. According to the law, only LHC’s two-member bench could hold hearing of plea against bench’s verdict, he added.
However, the court reserved the verdict until later.
