'Load Shedding Mubarak': PEPCO Pakistan website hacked
Hackers have put up a banner on the home page reading 'congratulations on site's load shedding'
LAHORE: (Web Desk) – Pakistan Electric Power Company (PEPCO) website has on Friday been hacked by hackers identifying themselves as Bilal and Ch3rn0byl. The home page of the website has a banner put up on it, saying ‘site ki load shedding mubarik ho’ or ‘Congratulations on site’s load shedding’.
The home page is completely black with plain text written on it in red, green and white colors. The text goes on to say at the bottom of the page, “We wish you from the bottom of our hearts ….. hope you understand”.
It is pertinent to mention here that there is around 5-hour daily load shedding in most parts of the country officially while reports of unscheduled load shedding and power outages due to system failures are a routine.
