Axact CEO reaches FIA HQ to record his statement
The company has provided the details of dues and the people who were issued degrees
KARACHI (Dunya News) – Axact chief executive officer (CEO) Shoaib Ahmed Shaikh on Tuesday has reached the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) headquarters and is recording his statement before the authorities.
According to the sources, the FIA has recorded statements of as many as six Axact directors. Axact has been unable to file the details of its sponsors, non-objection certificates (NOCs) of the educational institutions and affiliation proofs.
However, the company has provided the details of dues and the people who were issued degrees. Pakistani authorities have contacted the British government in the Axact fake degree scam. Reportedly, Britain will provide details of the bank accounts of the company there.
The preliminary forensic report of the computers seized from the Axact offices in Karachi and Rawalpindi will be issued on May 27.
