Govt focusing on constructing low cost houses for low income groups: PM

ISLAMABAD (Web Desk)- Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Saturday said the government is focusing on constructing affordable housing units for low income groups, the Radio Pakistan reported.
Talking to a delegation of SP Tech Private Limited in Lahore on Saturday, the Prime Minister said that housing is one of the most important human needs.
He said it is related to other social issues like provision of employment, transportation, sanitation, education and health facilities.
Nawaz Sharif was given a detailed presentation on the technical and financial aspects of low cost housing in Pakistan.
He was informed that country is facing a shortfall of more than three million housing units and demand in urban areas is increasing at a faster pace.
