Saulat Mirza to be hanged on May 12, death warrant issued
The culprit killed director KESC Shahid Hamid in 1997.
KARACHI (Dunya News) – Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) on Saturday has issued death warrant for Saulat Mirza ordering to hang him on May 12 at Mach Jail in Karachi, Dunya News reported.
Earlier, Karachi Central Jail authorities had once again contacted the court for re-issuance of death warrant of convicted target killer Saulat Mirza.
According to sources, Saulat Mirza’s fresh death warrant will be issued on May 2.
Further, the joint investigation team recorded his statement and forwarded its report to the concerned authorities.
Mirza s execution was postponed after he leveled serious allegations against the leadership of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) in a video message from death cell on March 18.
He alleged that he killed former KESC Director Shahid Hamid on the directives of Altaf Hussain.
The culprit was sentenced to death in a case pertaining to killing of managing director of then named Karachi Electric Supply Corporation Shahid Hamid, his driver and guard in 1997.
