Govt's silence over criticism on national institutions is beyond comprehension, says PTI chairman

ISLAMABAD: (Dunya News) – Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan has on Friday said that Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain incited Pakistanis to violence against the state in his speech. He said that the government’s silence over such criticism on the state institutions was beyond comprehension, reported Dunya News.

Reacting to Altaf Hussain’s statement, Imran Khan said that Altaf was a British citizen, inciting Pakistanis to violence against their state. He said that defence of national security forces was government’s duty but government’s silence over his statement and not taking the matter up with the British government was beyond comprehension.

Chairman PTI said that Karachi was under fire and the government must act on National Action Plan and eliminate political parties’ militant wings. He termed suspension of SSP Malir Rao Anwar as a cowardly act of Sindh government.
