Orders suspended: Bahria Town permitted to use 'Bahria'
Session Court Rawalpindi suspended Civil Court's orders, allowed Bahria Town to use the title
RAWALPINDI: (Dunya News) – Bahria Town management has been permitted to use the ‘Bahria’ title on Friday by Session Court Rawalpindi in an order that suspended the earlier orders by the Civil Court, reported Dunya News.
Additional Session Rawalpindi judge Muhammad Ashraf heard the arguments by Bahria Town’s lawyer Ilyas Sheikh. Ilyas Sheikh said that the civil judge did not even listen to his arguments and therefore, civil court’s orders should be suspended and Bahria Town’s case should be heard.
Suspending the order by civil court, session court allowed Bahria Town to use the title ‘Bahria’. He also issued notices to both sides seeking a response on 19th of April.
Bahria Foundation had filed a petition in Rawalpindi Civil Court in 2002 and requested the court to stop Bahria town from using this title.
