Cantonment board LB polls ordinance amended
The administrator post has been dissolved in the cantonments
LAHORE (Dunya News) – An Amendment has been brought on Thursday in the 2002 Ordinance of the cantonment boards local body (LB) elections. Dunya News obtains copy of the Amendment.
According to the details, the administrator post has been dissolved in the cantonments. The LB polls will be held in secrecy. The elections will now be conducted in accordance with the Amendment 2015.
The Amendment 2015 states that delimitations will be marked according to the last census in the country. Moreover, one representative of the ward will become member of the board. The tenure of the members will be at least four years while administrator will no longer be a post of the cantonments.
