Partial normalcy returns to Karachi a day after Nine Zero raid
However, private school association has decided to remain close the schools today
KARACHI (Dunya News) – The situation of Karachi city has been partially resumed after the protest of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) over Rangers’ raid on Nine-Zero that was carried out early yesterday’s morning, Dunya News reported on Thursday.
People of Karachi have started normalizing their daily routine as markets, petrol pumps, CNG stations and schools have been seen opened.
As per traders union, shopping malls and markets would remain open whereas factories in industrial area would also be working as per normal routine.
However, private school association has decided to remain close the schools to avoid any violent situation.
Earlier, Rangers raided the headquarters of Nine-Zero and took huge cache of weapons and death row prisoners into custody.
MQM called on acountrywide peaceful protest by urging the transporters and traders to suspend their activities whereas educational institutions and private schools have also faced a shut down across Sindh postponing the examinations and educational process in Jamia Karachi and Federal Urdu University.
Meanwhile, a complete strike is being observed in Hyderabad, Nawabshah, Sukkur, Mirpur Khas, Jamshoro and other cities of Sindh by closing petrol pumps, markets and public transport.
