PTI has challenged holding of Chairman Senate and Deputy Chairman elections in the IHC

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Senator Yousaf Badini on Monday has joined Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) in wake of Senate Chairman and Deputy Chairman elections. The PPP delegation met Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) members.

Raza Rabbani said that no nominee has been finalized yet. Nominees would be declared after discussion with the opposition, he added. While talking to the media, opposition leader in the National Assembly Khurshid Shah said that if PPP wins the Chairman Senate election then it would not be good for Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif.

On the other hand, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has challenged holding of Chairman Senate and Deputy Chairman elections in the Islamabad High Court (IHC). According to PTI, the election process has not completed yet so these elections are unconstitutional.
