Presence of ISIS not found in Punjab: IG Punjab

IG Punjab said that complaint cell in the CCPO will resolve the troubles of the people.

LAHORE (Dunya News) – Inspector General (IG) Punjab Mushtaq Sukhera has stated that the presence of Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) has not been found in Punjab, Dunya News reported on Friday.

While talking to media during the prize distribution ceremony organized by Lahore Police, IG Punjab stated that no relation of the ISIS graffiti has been revealed by any banned organization whereas steps have been taken for the safety of sensitive installations.

Talking about madrassas he said that 496 foreign students are studying in the madrassas of Punjab whereas, no credible proof has been found yet regarding the foreign funding of some madrassas.

He assured that the monitoring of all the madrassas will be completed in the next week.

Furthermore, he stated that National Action Plan (NAP) has been formed with mutual consensus of all the parties and the implementation on the plan is underway.

IG Punjab also stated that instructions have been issued for the misuse of loudspeaker as the amplifier act is for the wrong use of loudspeaker.

Moreover, he said that complaint cell in the Capital City Police Office (CCPO) will resolve the troubles of the people whereas if the matter is not solved at District Police Officer (DPO) level, the person can contact the CCPO without any hesitation.
