LAHORE (Web Desk) – The Lahore High Court (LHC) on Monday stopped Punjab government from cancelling the registration of Minhajul Quran International, Dunya News reported.

LHC’s Justice Ijaz-ul-Ahsan heard the case.

The defense lawyer was of the view that the provincial government issued a notice regarding cancellation of Minhajul Quran`s registration, alleging that funds of the organization were utilized in last year`s anti-government protests led by Pakistan Awami Tehreek(PAT) chief Tahirul Qadri.

The lawyer prayed to court that registration cannot be cancelled on the basis of such allegations.

After hearing the arguments, Justice Ijaz-ul-Ahsan issued a notice to the Punjab government and summoned reply within 15 days.
