Lahore: Students hold protest rally against blasphemous caricatures
The government must cut off diplomatic relations with France, demand students
LAHORE (Dunya News) – The United Students Platform on Wednesday has demonstrated a protest against the publication of blasphemous caricatures in French magazine Charlie Hebdo demanding the government to deport French ambassador.
According to the details, the students conducted a protest rally starting from Civil Line College to the Istanbul Chowk. The rally was led by leaders of different students’ organisations. The leaders of the organisations while addressing the participants of the rally said that the French ambassador to Pakistan must be deported and the diplomatic relations with France must be cut off.
They also said that they would not tolerate blasphemous acts. The students said that the western countries should not destroy the peace and stability in the world by adopting hypocrite ideology.
The students approved the protest resolution before ending the rally.
