Rawalpindi blast: CCTV footage shows a person fitting time bomb in drainpipe
Dunya News obtained a CCTV footage that confirms it was not a suicide blast.
RAWALPINDI (Web Desk) – Investigation into the bomb explosion that took place near Imambargah Aun Muhammad Rizvi in Rawalpindi s Chatian Hatian area has taken a new turn when CCTV footage revealed a person fitting a time bomb in the street a day before the tragic incident, which confirms that it was not a suicide blast.
CCTV obtained by Dunya News shows a person planting a device in drainpipe in the street where guards were expected to give their duty.
On January 9, the powerful explosion killed at least eight people and wounded several others as they gathered in the Imambargah to distribute alms to mark the birthday of the Prophet Mohammed (PBUH).
Nobody has yet claimed responsibility of the blast.
