India already has such protection in its constitution, says Dr Awan

LAHORE (Dunya News) – Former law minister and Senator Dr Babar Awan on Friday has said that the 22nd Amendment in the Constitution 1973 has been prepared.

He revealed this in Dunya News programme ‘Ikhtilafi Note’.

He said that the 22nd Amendment in the Constitution has been prepared which would give protection to the Pakistan Army’s operation and judicial procedures. According to the Amendment regional bias as well as sectarianism would be considered an act of terrorism, he added.

He said that the 22nd Amendment would not have word  one  regarding the sects.

Dr Awan said that this Amendment would be brought in the Constitution to maintain National consensus. Whereas, India already has such protection in its constitution, he added.
