PTI's Hamid Khan has taken stay orders for at least 12 to 14 times, says Rasheed
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – The Federal Minister for Information Pervaiz Rasheed on Thursday said that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan is trying to influence the decision of the election tribunal in his favour.
The Information Minister made these statements in a press conference.
According to the details, Information Minister Rasheed said that the request for recounting of votes was included in the PTI’s Terms of Reference. Khan had himself finalised the terms of reference, he added. Rasheed said that Khan gets scared of recounting of votes anytime the matter is discussed.
He said that the election tribunal still has to give its final verdict. Over 1 lac 80 thousand votes were cast in the General Elections 2013, according to the commission. There has been a conflict between what Khan says and what the commission report states. The minister said that Khan only wants to get the decision he desires.
He also said that Khan tried to mislead the nation but failed to do so. He wishes to hear only what he wants to hear, he added. Rasheed said that he is a fast bowler in cricket but he is a spin master when it comes to politics. He said that they requested the PTI chairman to speak the truth but he murders it every day.
Pervaiz Rasheed said that PTI candidate Hamid Khan has taken stay orders for at least 12 to 14 times.
