Rapist, murderer of 6-year-old boy in mosque is 17-year-old barber
It is unclear as of now whether the accused will be prosecuted as juvenile or adult
LAHORE (Dunya News) – The police have cracked the case of 6-year-old boy who was raped and killed in a mosque and the culprit turned out to be a 17-year-old boy who runs a barber shop outside the mosque, Dunya News reported.
According to the details, body of the victim was found on roof of a mosque on January 2nd. The 6-year-old was hanged after rape as confirmed by the autopsy.
The police had arrested at least seven individuals from the mosque and started the investigation. The DNA, polygraph and other tests led to the real culprit.
The accused runs a barber shop outside the mosque and has reportedly confessed to the crime. He said in his confession that he lured the victim to the mosque’s roof and killed him in panic.
The police say that the entry logs of the mosque and forensic laboratory’s reports proved to be extremely helpful in cracking the case.
It is unclear as of now whether the accused will be prosecuted as juvenile or adult.
