Bao Anwar murder: Police arrest one woman from Lahore

Police had made seven teams of officers to probe the murder case.

SIALKOT (Dunya News) – Police on Thursday have detained one woman as a suspect of asassination of District Vice President of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Bao Anwar from Shadra, Lahore, Dunya News reported.

According to details, police have gathered evidences within 36 hours and have also taken a woman into custody. The woman has been identified as Nadia, who was having alleged relationship with Bao Anwar.

Police had also made seven teams comprising of police from Hajipura police station, Cantt police station, Ring pura police station and Neka pura police station whereas Senior Superintendent Police (SSP) Tariq Irfan and Deputy Sperintendent Police (DSP) city Maqsood are directly monitoring the investigation teams.

Police sources told that interrogation is underway from those Bao Anwar had talked on the telephone whereas personal entimity cannot be neglected during the investigation.

Earlier, Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) district Vice President Bao Muhammad Anwar killed in Sialkot.

As per details, Bao Anwar was standing outside a restaurant along with his son and brother when unidentified armed men opened fire, killing him on the spot.

Meanwhile, MQM Chief Altaf Hussain has strongly condemned killing of Bao Anwar and demanded Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif and Governor Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar to apprehend the assailants.
