LAHORE: (Dunya News) – Governor Punjab Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar has said that the political issues are always resolved through talks and same will happen this time. He said that the decisions are not made on roads in democracies.
Talking to Dunya News on its sixth anniversary on Monday, Chaudhry Sarwar said that he desired the current political turmoil to be resolved through talks. He said that politicians should always talk after carefully evaluating their words.
Governor Punjab said that the local body elections are held in all countries of the world. “It is unfortunate that local body elections do not get held in Pakistan”, he said. “Nobody can become an MNA in Pakistan without spending heavy amounts of money”, he added.
Chaudhry Sarwar said that power will have to be devolved to district and union council level. He said that media is playing the role of a vibrant opposition in Pakistan. “Terrorists’ attack on media is condemnable”, he said.
