Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar has sought a report from IG Punjab regarding the attack on Dunya TV

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) — Decision has been taken to form a joint investigation team to look into the cracker attack on Dunya TV DSNG. The team will complete the investigation and present report within 14 days. Interior Minister has taken notice of the attack on Dunya TV and has obtained a report from Inspector General (IG) Islamabad on Monday.

In order to investigate the attack on Dunya TV team on Sunday, the Punjab police have sent a letter to Chief Commissioner of Islamabad. According to the police, the investigation would be carried out by a joint investigation team. The joint investigation team also includes representatives of intelligence agencies. The team would present a report about the attack within 14 days. On the other hand, a case has been registered under sections 324, 34, 109, 427 of Article 7 of Anti Terrorism Act (ATA) in Aabpara police station in Islamabad against the attack on Dunya TV.

Dunya TV’s DSNG was attacked in Faizabad on Sunday on its way back from the coverage of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) rally. Dunya News team including technician Mohsin and cameraman Amir Chaudhry were injured.

SSP Operations Islamabad Ismat ullah Junejo has affirmed to look into the matter and reveal the suspects.
