Over 5.5 million additional ballot papers were published, Imran Khan claims

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan on Friday claimed that the Election Commission, former Chief Justice and caretaker government were involved in the alleged rigging in general elections 2013, Dunya News reported.
Addressing a media conference in Islamabad, Imran Khan claimed that over 5.5 million additional ballot papers were published with the blessing of the Election Commission and the caretaker government.
He said he had to resort to the sit-in protest when the doors of all the institutions responsible for providing justice were closed.
Those who stole people’s mandate should be tried for high treason, he said, adding that that how can someone who won election through rigging become honest after coming into the assembly.
He said those who were responsible for publishing of 5.5 million additional ballot papers have harmed the democracy, adding that everyone is now conspiring to stop the process of accountability.

Khan said this is the first election in the history where both the winners and losers are saying the elections were rigged.
He said the rigged elections are of no use and that the competition in the next election would be between justice and rigging.
PTI chief said that the rigged government is no different than dictatorship, adding that those who stole people’s mandate should be tried for high treason.
He said the ‘third umpire’ is God because, he said, the number of days the sit-in has been going on wasn’t possible with ‘earthly umpire’.
Khan claimed that the political parties placed their umpires in the caretaker government and that the real rigging took place post polling.
