Lahore: YNA protests against harassing nurse at Jinnah Hospital

Association of nurses has demanded the suspension of the doctor for harassing nurse.

LAHORE (Dunya News) – Young Nurses Association (YNA) on Monday announced to protest all over the Punjab against alleged misbehavior of a doctor with nurse at Jinnah Hospital in Lahore.

According to details, nurses at Jinnah Hospital Lahore has raised slogans against hospital’s administration and demanded to suspend the doctor for harassing their colleague.

After the announcement of YNA, nurses have stopped working in various sectors including outdoor and indoor of governmental hospitals in Punjab whereas services are being provided to patients in emergency, Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and Coronary Care Unit (CCU).

Association claimed that administration is not taking any action against the doctor being involved in misbehaving with the nurse; however, they added that protest would be continued till his termination.

Further, YNA has also warned administration that they would deferred their services for emergence as well if the administration fails to fulfill their demands.

Earlier on Friday, nurses had also carried out protest by boycotting indoor and outdoor sections of the Jinnah Hospital in Lahore.

Moreover, in January this year, doctor of Jinnah Hospital slapped a senior nurse as a result of which a chain of protests had been observed.
