LESCO staff busted complainants head open

LAHORE: (Dunya News) – Lahore Electric Supply Company (LESCO) staff beat up a complainant and busted his head open when he went to LESCO Customer Service Center on Tuesday. Complainant Muhammad Aamir, resident of Ashrafia Park, Lahore, was sent Rs. 16,126 bill. LESCO allowed him to pay his bill in installments. Despite paying the first installment of Rs. 9000, LESCO staff cancelled his electricity connection.
When Aamir went to LESCO Customer Service Center to get his issue resolved, instead of addressing his concern, LESCO staff started beating him. They busted his head open and the man started bleeding. When asked about the issue, LESCO spokesperson said he had no knowledge about the incident.
On the other hand, residents of Multan Road protested against LESCO staff for demanding bribe for installing new electricity connections and blocked the main road. Citizens also chanted slogans against LESCO management.
