He said he feels as if new generation is being disassociated from elders and values, he said.
QUETTA (Dunya News) – Jamiat Ulama-e-Islam Fazal (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman on Wednesday said that the politics of sit-in has been failed and buried forever now, adding that the misuse of social media is causing youth to rebel against the religious values and cultural norms, Dunya News reported.
Addressing media workshop in Quetta, Fazlur Rehman said that an environment of clash is being created through the sit-in protests, claiming that the sit-in protests have caused irreparable loss to the country.
He said the democracy and media are old allies; however the social media is causing rebellion amongst the youth. He claimed that the new technology has more negatives than positives.
Fazlur Rehman said that the politicians are ridiculed over the social media. He said he is not against criticism but will not allow insult either.
He said that he feels as if the new generation is being deliberately disassociated from their elders and values.
