Karachi: Angry mob kills two dacoits
Two dacoits were killed by residents in Korangi area of Karachi on Saturday.
KARACHI (Dunya News) – According to details, two dacoits were caught by residents when they were busy in looting people in Korangi area of Karachi on Saturday and subjected them to severe torture.
Police reached the spot and shifted both the injured dacoits to hospital where they succumbed to their injuries during treatment.
In a separate incident, two dacoits were killed in exchange of firing with police near Super Highway. According to police, five dacoits were busy in looting people at a hotel near Sabzi Mandi. The dacoits opened fire at police when the law enforcement agency personnel reached there. Police returned the fire as a result two dacoits were killed while the other three managed to escape from the scene.
On the other hand, some unidentified persons opened fire in Safari Park area and shot dead a PPP activist. The deceased was identified a Abdul Qadir.
The residents of the area staged a protest after the incident and blocked University Road for all kind of traffic. Heavy contingents of Rangers and police reached the spot and brought the situation under control.
Meanwhile, a youth was killed in Jat Line area while some unidentified persons opened fire in Karimabad area and shot dead a man. Police have also recovered a body from Korangi area.
