Zarb-e-Azb: 15 militants killed in Khyber Agency airstrike

To date, over 1200 hundred militants have been killed during ongoing operation Zarb-e-Azb.

ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) – At least 15 militants were killed in an airstrike launched by the Pakistan army in Khyber Agency on Friday morning.

Inter Services Public Relations said in a statement that the militants were killed when their three hideouts were targeted and destroyed by the army jet fighters in Jamrud and Bara areas.

Security forces have been launching a major armed offensive in North Waziristan Agency against different militant groups since June 15.

To date, over 1200 militants have been killed in the operation Zarb-e-Azb that aims at wiping out the militant stronghold in the area.

Over one million people have fled the offensive in the area and are living in refugee camps in Bannu area of neighbouring Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.
