54 children died in Bahawalnagar DHQ Hospital due to substandard medicines
Punjab CM has taken the notice and formed a committee to probe into the incident.
BAHAWALNAGAR (Dunya News) – At least 54 children have been reported dead in Bahawalnagar District Head Quarter Hospital during last fifteen days due to use of substandard medicines.
Families of the deceased staged protest against the hospital’s management, and demanded strict action against the accused.
Meanwhile, Medical Superintendent Fiaz Anwer holds Executive District Officer health responsible for the deaths, saying procurements of all the medicines have been made by the EDO.
On the other hand, Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has taken the notice of the incident and formed a two members committee to investigate the matter.
