More administrative units inevitable in Pakistan: Khushbakht Shujaat
Altaf Hussain never bowed before feudal lords; PTI leader should withdraw statement, says MQM leader
KARACHI: (Dunya News, Web Desk) – Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) leader Khushbakht Shujaat has said that more administrative units are a must in Pakistan. She said that the demand is inescapable and establishment of new units has become inevitable now. “Today the people demanding these administrative units are in thousands, tomorrow they will be millions”, said MQM leader.
Speaking at the MQM rally today (Saturday) in Karachi, Khushbakht Shujaat said that certain leaders focus only a select few of cities. “Rulers should tell us why local bodies system was changed”, said Khushbakht.
Criticizing Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) without naming anyone, MQM leader said that the ‘so-called’ PTI leader should read his party manifesto. She said that MQM chief Altaf Hussain never bowed down to feudal lords’ pressure. “PTI leader should take his statement back”, said Khushbakht. MQM leader said that 1973 constitution provides for new administrative units in Pakistan. She said that PTI leader talked against their manifesto and should take his statement back.
Khushbakht Shujaat said that Pakistan was achieved after sacrifices of people. “The city that produces 75 percent of Pakistan’s revenue should be given its due rights”, said Khushbakht. She stressed upon the need of new administrative units and local bodies system in Pakistan.
