ISLAMABAD (Dunya News/Web Desk) - Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan said on Monday that poor were allowed to submerge in flood only to save sugar mills of the rich. He said that a bridge was constructed at a cost of Rs 2.5 billion only for Nawaz Sharif’s sugar mill.

Addressing to participants of sit-in, Imran Khan he visited flood-hit areas of Jhang, where people chanted ‘Go Nawaz Go’ slogans.

He vowed not to leave the sit-in without taking resignation of Nawaz Sharif. “Some people claim there are some 500 people at the sit-in. I want to ask why 30, 000 policemen have been deployed here,” he said.

He stressed on the need for devolution of power through local government system.
