Saad rafique apologizes for police brutality on media
Police has embarrassed the government, says Railways Minister
ISLAMABAD: (Dunya News) – Federal Minister for Railways Khawaja Saad Rafique has apologized for police brutality on media today (Sunday) in Islamabad. Saad Rafique constantly kept asking police officers not to damage media vans yet the police officers went violent and manhandled the media personnel and vans.
Apologizing for the incident, Saad Rafique said that police has embarrassed the government through this act. He said that the officers involved in this will definitely be brought to the book for their brutality.
Police went out of control in the morning today and went so violent that they ignored repeated pleas by the federal minister and broke several media cars. Police also attacked Saad Rafique taking him to be a common man. Saad Rafique informed the media about this.
Enraged over the police brutality, Saad Rafique kept looking for the duty officers who were nowhere to be found. He said that media was handled brutally by the police and police has embarrassed the government.
“I will bring this into the notice of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan”, said Saad Rafique.
