JUI-F holds rallies across Sindh against PAT, PTI sit-ins
JUI-F workers hold demonstrations in Sindh against PAT and PTI sit-in protests.
SUKKUR/PANO AKIL/JACOBABAD (Dunya News) – The Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) on Sunday held rallies and demonstrations in different parts of Sindh to record its protest over the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and Pakistan Awami Tehreek(PAT)‘s sit-ins in Islamabad. Following Maulana Fazlur Rehman’s claim of protesting against the sit-ins by PTI and PAT in Islamabad yesterday (Saturday), the Jamiat-e-Ulema-e- Fazl (JUI-F) has taken to streets holding protests and rallies in Sukhur, Pano Akil and Jacobabad on Sunday, Dunya News reported.
The JUI-F party workers staged a protest in Sukkur, a city in the province of Sindh, on Qaumi Shahrah bypass. The protestors demanded from Imran Khan to apologize for disrespecting Maulana Fazlur Rehman. They claimed that both Imran Khan and Tahirul Qadri are working on foreign agenda and JUIF will not let that happen.
In Pano Akil which is a tehsil of Sukkur District in the Sindh province of Pakistan, JUI-F worker’s protest procession marched from Sindh-Punjab Adda to the Press Club against the PAT and PTI sit-ins. JUI-F workers threatened Imran Khan to take fierce action against him if he fails to apologize to Maulana Fazlur Rehman.
Similar demonstrations were held in Jacobabad, a city in Sindh province of Pakistan, in support of of democracy and rule of law in the country. The protestors raised slogans against PAT and PTI leadership. The JUI-F protest march, passing through several areas of Jacobabad city of Sindh, culminated at a rally near DC Chowk.
Earlier, Maulana Fazlur Rehman claimed that the western civilization has waged a war on Islamabad, adding that people will march to Islamabad if ‘sit-in stubbornness’ continues.
Addressing a press conference, Fazlur Rehman said that all political forces are united and that the state is exhibiting patience for the past ten days.
He said JUI-F stands by the constitution and democracy.JUI-F chief said that no one can stop masses from marching to Islamabad to protest against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) if the ‘sit-in stubbornness’ is not stopped.
He said that the gathering of a few people on roads is not called a political demonstration, alleging that the demonstrations are being staged as part of the ‘foreign agenda’.
Fazl claimed that the western civilization has waged a war on Islamabad. JUI-F chief said he is told not to commit extremism, claiming that the protestors are making extremist demands themselves.
