LHC stopped PTI from staging 'unconstitutional' sit-in and protest march.
LAHORE (Dunya News) – Lahore High Court (LHC) on Wednesday in its verdict stopped Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) from proceeding with its planned ‘Azadi March’ in an ‘unconstitutional’ way, Dunya News reported.
According to the details, LHC stopped PTI from staging ‘unconstitutional’ sit-in and protest march.
Following the court decision, PTI’s attorney said while talking to the media that it is every party’s right to hold peaceful protest.
He said the high court did not term PTI long march unconstitutional, adding that the court only asked not to indulge in anything unconstitutional. He maintained there’s nothing about PTI’s ‘Azadi March’ that is unconstitutional.
