Model Town Incident case has been registered before Allah: Shujaat
"We want all the opposition parties to be on one page" - President PML (Q)
LAHORE: (Dunya News) – Former Prime Minister of Pakistan Senator Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain has said that the Model Town Incident case has been registered in the court of Allah. President Pakistan Muslim League (Q) said that it is time for revolution, the foundations of which were laid down by the Model Town Incident.
Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain visited the house of Model Town Incident’s victim Sufi Muhammad Iqbal today (Friday). PML (Q) President expressed grief for the martyr and presented his kids with Eidi. “We share the sorrow of the families of the martyrs”, said PML-Q leader.
Former Prime Minister also said that he wishes to see all opposition parties together against the government. “We want all the opposition parties to be on one page”, said Ch Shujaat.
“The FIR of the Model Town Incident is not being allowed to register but the case has already been registered in the court of Allah”, said the Former Prime Minister of Pakistan. Rulers will have to answer about this innocent blood in Allah’s court, he added.
Chaudhry Shujaat said that he was trying to convince all the like-minded parties to join hands against the government. He said that he shared the grief of all those families who lost their loved ones in the Model Town Incident.
Model Town Incident had taken place on June 17, 2014, when Punjab Police went to Minhajul Quran International (MQI) Secretariat to take over the security of the MQI Office before the arrival of Dr. Tahir ul Qadri. Police wanted to remove the barriers from the secretariat but Tahirul Qadri resisted the move. A violent clash then occurred between the Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) and the Police. The clash resulted in 12 unfortunate deaths of PAT workers. Joint Investigation Team is investigating the matter.
