LHCBA’s decision for polls under Biometric system

Lahore High Court Bar (LHCBA) has announced the decision of having polls under a biometric system.

LAHORE (Dunya News)— While the Election Commission of Pakistan has been thinking of next polls through biometric system, Lahore High Court Bar (LHCBA) has announced the decision of having polls under a biometric system, first time in the history of Pakistan. The registration process for members has begun. The political parties should also take practical measures to introduce biometric system for election in order to have fair and transparent polls in Pakistan, said the President of LHCB.


Once the biometric system has been adopted, no voter would be allowed more than 15 seconds to cast a vote. Moreover, the results will be recorded soon after. Everyday more than 125 lawyers are being included in the biometric system. However, 20 lakhs have been spent on the purchase of biometric system.
