Power breakdown at water pumping stations occurred around 4:00pm on Sunday.
KARACHI (Web Desk) – A major power breakdown at Dhabeji, Gharo and Pipri pumping stations caused water shortage in different areas of the metropolis, Dunya news reported on Monday.
Water supply to different areas was suspended after PRC line Dhabeji exploded due to abrupt power cut.
According to water board spokesperson, repair work at 72-inch diameter PRC line has commenced and the process would take three more days.
Dhabeji pumping station supplies 500 million gallons of water to Karachi every day but due to pipe explosion, only 150 million gallons water has been supplied so far.
