Another body found from debris at Karachi airport cargo shed
The victim has been identified as ASF Sub-Inspector Muhammad Jumman.
KARACHI (Dunya News) - One more dead bodies was found when rescue teams were clearing debris from cargo shed of Karachi Airport on Wednesday.
According to Spokesman Civil Aviation Authority (CAA), the victim was identified as Sub-Inspector Muhammad Jumman of Airport Security Force (ASF). The dead body has been shifted to hospital for postmortem.
Sub-Inspector Muhammad Jumman went missing after Sunday night’s terrorist attack at Karachi airport. After this, the number of deaths from cargo shed rose to 8 while total death toll after terrorist attack at Karachi airport has reached 30.
Earlier on Tuesday, rescuers recovered bodies of seven people, including one ASF official from cold storage facility at Karachi s Jinnah International Airport.
The victims included seven cargo workers and one ASF official, who remain trapped inside a cold storage facility at the Karachi airport after a deadly militant attack Sunday night.
The bodies of trapped people were recovered after destroying three wall of the cargo complex.
It is pertinent to mention here that At least nineteen people including 11 ASF personnel, one Rangers man, 4 PIA workers and a worker of private airline were martyred when terrorists attacked Karachi airport on Sunday night.
The attack at Jinnah International Airport in Pakistan s biggest city began just before midnight Sunday and raged until dawn, when the military said that all 10 attackers had been killed after they had stormed two areas equipped with suicide vests, grenades and rocket launchers.
The Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) group said the attack was in revenge for its late leader Hakimullah Mehsud, who was killed in a US drone strike in November.
Officials said the gunmen entered from two sides of the airport at around 11:00 pm on Sunday -- the terminal used for the hajj pilgrimage to Makkah, and an engineering section close to an old terminal that is no longer in use.
