Downpour, hailstorm turn weather pleasant in various cities

The metrological department predicts an imbalanced weather condition for the rest of this week.

LAHORE (Dunya News) – Heavy rain and hailstorm in Lahore and various other cities turn weather pleasant after breaking the recent heat wave. The temperature drop appeared to be instrumental in bringing back smiles; however, the hailstorm has reportedly harmed wheat crop. The metrological department predicts an imbalanced weather condition for the rest of this week, Dunya News reported.
The day started with what looked like a continues hide and seek between the sun and clouds; however, the downpour in the afternoon broke the intensity of heat wave.
The rainfall continued in Faisalabad with various intervals. The city brought back memories of the fall season as temperature dropped to 23 degree Celsius.
The heavy rainfall and wind also covered Toba Tek Singh, Kasur, Pattoki, Choonian, Okara and other adjacent areas.
Gujranwala also experienced a spell of hailstorm other than the downpour which reportedly heavily damaged the wheat crop.
The coastal areas including Badin were hit by wind and sandstorm which blew away the roofs of various mud houses and shops.
The rainfall and storm also affected Azad Kashmir resulting in closure of connecting roads. The roads could not be opened as of yet causing extreme inconvenience to the residents.
The metrological department has forecasted more rainfall in various areas. It also predicted that the weather will remain imbalanced throughout the week.
