"I'm well and going through dialysis:" Edhi
Abdul Sattar Edhi's press conference quashed rumors pertaining his health on social media.
KARACHI (Dunya News) – Prominent philanthropist Abdul Sattar Edhi said on Saturday that he is alive, well and is going through dialysis for the past 11 months. Surgeon Dr Adib Rizwi said that transplant will be done as soon as a donor is found, Dunya News reported.
Abdul Sattar Edhi and Sindh Institute of Urology and Transplantation’s Chief Dr Adib Rizwi addressed a joint press conference here on Saturday.
Edhi said that doctors have recommended him of kidney transplantation. Rizwi said that dialysis is performed on Edhi twice a week.
He said that if anyone donates kidney posthumously, a transplant surgery will be performed on the prominent philanthropist.
