Sit-in for the recovery of missing persons continues for the second day in row.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - The organization Defense of Human Rights continued its sit-in in the capital for the second day for the recovery of the missing persons.

Amna Masood Janjua who was manhandled by the police yesterday demanded from the PM Nawaz Sharif to meet the missing persons’ relatives.

The sit-in has been staged in front of the Parliament House at the D Ckowk in Islamabad. Amna Masood Janjua, who is also head of the Defense of Human Rights organization, also demanded the PM should himself head the commission established for the recovery of the missing people.

The rights organization also staged a sit-in yesterday and the participant marched towards the parliament when they were stopped by the capital police.

Amna Masood Janjua was taken to women police station after being tortured. Tear gas was also used to disperse the protesters.

The arrested activists were released on PM Nawaz s order. 

The interior minister has also suspended ASP City Yasir Afridi and and ASP Secretariat Iram Abbasi.
