KARACHI (Dunya News) – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) has submitted a condemnation resolution against the latest statement of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain in Punjab Assembly secretariat.
The resolution was submitted following PTI’s parliamentary leader’s approval.
The resolution stated that Altaf Hussain had been persistently issuing statements to provoke army, adding that the government of Pakistan and concerned institutions should take notice of his statements.
Earlier, Federal Information Minister Pervez Rashid also accused Altaf Hussain for creating an atmosphere of distrust, adding that the MQM chief was trying to mislead the nation.

In a statement, Information Minister said that every leader should think 100 times before making a statement over national matters, saying that immature comments may lead to grave consequences.

He also said that the MQM chief was making deliberate efforts to mislead the nation.

Muttahida Qaumi Movement chief Altaf Hussain has said that he will hang 'thanedaars' – the local term used for strict cops, often in derogatory sense – upside down if his party is given power for a week.

Addressing 30th foundation day ceremony via telephone in Karachi on Tuesday, Altaf Hussain said that country's self-respect and sovereignty was sold against few pennies.

Altaf said that he is accused of being pro-martial law adding that if he wanted anything, he would have gotten it by supporting a military dictator. He claimed that if anyone came to change the corrupt system, it was the army.
Altaf Hussain said that those who sell honour cannot protect daughters adding that he will hang the policemen upside down if his party is given power even for a week.

He became emotional while talking about Muzaffargarh's self-immolating rape victim. He further added that revolutions don’t come overnight adding that the real movement emerges from the oppressed class.

He further said that his party’s movement will spread to assemblies in Islamabad.
