Operation to continue in Karachi till criminals' elimination: PM
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif arrived in Karachi on one day visit to review law and order situation.
KARACHI (Web Desk) - Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has said that targeted operation against will continue in Karachi till complete elimination of the criminals, Dunya News reported on Friday.
Addressing the award distribution ceremony of Karachi Chamber of Commerce & Industry, the Prime Minister said Karachi is commercial hub of the country thus the government could not ignore its peace to ensure sustainable economic activities.
On the occasion‚ Finance Minister Ishaq Dar said that country's economy has been put on the right track.
He said tax collection has been increased upto eighteen percent.
The minister said IMF has acknowledged that the economy of Pakistan is going in the right direction.
Later, the Prime Minister distributed awards among traders for best performance in their respective fields.
