Students remain rusticated from university, Pakistan foreign office offers support.

MEERUT (Dunya News) – Following massive national and international backlash, Indian authorities have withdrawn sedition charges brought up against Kashmiri students who were expelled from a university in Meerut over celebrating Pakistan’s cricket victory against India.
Kashmiri Huriat leader Yasin Malik says India’s detestable face is exposed with their act of leveling sedition charges against students.
Kashmiri leader Mishal Malik said that Kashmir is a disputed territory as recognized internationally and that India should stop treating Kashmiris as slaves.
Earlier, spokesperson Pakistan Foreign Office Tasneem Aslam said on Thursday that sedition charges put forward by Indian administration against Kashmiri students for celebrating Pakistan’s cricket win are regrettable, adding that Pakistan’s hearts and universities are open for Kashmiri students if they want to continue their studies in Pakistan, Dunya News reported.
Speaking on the matter, Hafiz Saeed, patron of Jamaat ud Dawa – who tops India’s most wanted terrorists list but is a free man in Pakistan – said India has always opposed Pakistan, adding that torturing Kashmiri students is painful.
He said the doors of Pakistani universities are open for Kashmiri students and that they will be welcomed with open arms and be provided with complete support. Saeed vowed to continue supporting Kashmiris.
Speaking on the Islamabad court attack, foreign office spokesperson Tasneem Aslam said that the statement associated to Prime Minister pertaining to involvement of Indian intelligence agency RAW is false.
She further said that she is unaware about US foreign minister’s Pakistan visit.
Earlier, Indian authorities reportedly decided to prosecute Kashmiri students who cherished Pakistan’s cricket victory against India under treason charges.
A university in Uttar Pradesh had expelled as many as 67 Kashmiri students (130 according to some reports) for celebrating Pakistan s victory against India in a thrilling Asia Cup cricket match between the archrivals on Sunday, prompting the management to take ‘action’.
