Pakistan has no favourites in Afghanistan: Sartaj
Sartaj Aziz has said that Pakistan will continue to support Afghan-owned reconciliation process.
ISLAMABAD (Online): Prime Minister’s Advisor on Foreign Affairs and National Security Sartaj Aziz said Pakistan will continue to support Afghan-owned reconciliation process for peace and stability in the region.
Addressing a function in Islamabad on Sunday‚ he said Pakistan has no favourites in Afghanistan.
The Advisor said after the withdrawal of NATO forces‚ neighbouring countries will have an important role in the development of Afghanistan.
He said China has also an important role to play in the development of Afghanistan.
Sartaj Aziz said‚ on the request of President Karzai and Afghan Peace Council‚ Pakistan has taken several steps for establishing peace in Afghanistan.
Replying to a question‚ he said destiny of the region will change with the implementation of Pak-China Economic Corridor project.
